Temporomandibular dysfunctions

Treatment and management of patients with temporomandibular dysfunction. Cooperation between the orthodontist, maxillofacial surgeon and physiotherapist.

In up to 45 percent of dysfunctions in the area of the temporomandibular joint. The etiological factor is the patient’s muscular imbalance in that area. In our lecture, we therefore want to focus on the necessity of interdisciplinary cooperation between physiotherapists, orthodontists and maxillofacial surgeons. Therefore we will present methods, exercises and possibilities of treatment and cooperation in more detail.
